Highlight paid ads in search results

  • AddedPaid ads in search results are highlighted in color so they are easier to distinguish from organic listings. The extension does not block ads or change the order of results.

How to customize it

Open the extension → select the gear to the right of the tabs → choose a color, style and corner rounding. Changes are saved immediately. Uncheck “Highlight paid search ads” to turn it off. If an open search page still shows an old style after an update, reload the page.

Coverage and privacy

A result is highlighted only when a combination of advertising signals is found in the search page’s markup. New or unverified formats may remain unhighlighted, so an absence of color does not prove a result is organic. Dedicated Images, Maps, Shopping and AI search modes are outside the stated coverage. Highlighting runs locally in your browser and does not send search queries to our server.
